Let’s go party with Barbie

To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken. From Oscar-nominated writer/director Greta Gerwig (“Little Women,” “Lady Bird”) comes “Barbie,” starring Oscar-nominees Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, alongside America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell.

Margot Robbie as BARBIE

Barbie hits the nail on the head with talking about and bringing to the forefront what people thought about Barbie, she’s perfect, has a set look body shape and size, and in the real world people are just seeing this level of Barbie – but this story takes us on a journey that actually Barbie is saying that women can be anything! Every Barbie is different, and beautiful – and can be who she wants to be! A lawyer, a doctor, a vet, a homemaker, a mum and anything you can think of! It also shows us what a world would’ve been without Barbie and very much a Ken World!

Barbie is available to download or stream on all services such as Sky store now plus take her home on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 23

Let’s travel back in time and share a laugh with The Flash…

The Flash played by Ezra Miller

Goosebumps galore, laughter and tears… be prepared for a rollercoaster ride and plenty of surprises from Warner Bros. Pictures “The Flash,” directed by Andy Muschietti

We see Ezra Miller reprising their role as Barry Allen in the DC Super Hero’s first-ever standalone feature film. Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

The film was truly an amazing watch and had us laughing from start to finish. The endless surprises (I cannot spoil them because y’know it wouldn’t land any where near as well if you know!) made for great moments of humour and nods to the past and present of DC.

Be prepared to live the ups and downs of Barry Allen’s heartbreaking story… and welcome him open armed to the future of DC. Thank you Warner Bros… **Press Invite**

But for now kids… I’m Batman 🦇

It’s time to meet the hero before heroes… Black Adam

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stars as ‘Black Adam’

It’s time to meet the hero before heroes even existed… Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods, and imprisoned just as quickly, Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world. Not wanting to be known as the hero more of an anti hero, we watch Black Adam be liberated from his attachment to earth, and unleash his fury on the modern world.

Now I could be the first to say I’m guilty of thinking Johnson’s films tend to be a tad cheesy (sorry) but this one surprised me, and we thoroughly enjoyed another DC Character coming into the fold. It’s action packed, with plenty to get your teeth into. So add it to your to watch list, and sit back with your snacks this weekend to give it a watch; available on direct download services or DVD & BlueRay

The film stars the voice of Dwayne Johnson (“the “Jumanji” films, “Moana”). As well as the voices of Aldis Hodge (TV’s “City on a Hill,” “One Night in Miami” film) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” film) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (TV’s “Sex/Life,” “Rush Hour 3” film) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (“Murder on the Orient Express,” “The Mummy” films) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (“Voyagers,” film and TV’s “Trinkets”) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (TV’s “A Million Little Things”) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (the “Mamma Mia!” and James Bond franchises) as Dr. Fate.

Pierce Brosnan & Sarah Shahi feature

Why not grab your copy (now out on DVD & Blueray) and watch this outstanding and electrifying rated film with some popcorn and a pizza in the warm this weekend…
